Admission Policy

Pakistani Islamic Private School, located in Al-Ain, is a highly popular institution for residents of the UAE, particularly the Al-Ain community. The school offers a limited number of seats, making the competition for admission quite intense.

  • The school was established by the Pakistani community in Al-Ain.
  • The school follows the Pakistani Curriculum, with courses and classes designed to meet the educational needs of students.
  • The school’s Board classes, from Grade IX to XII, are affiliated with the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Islamabad.

The School welcome children of wide range of abilities; the admission policy is by nature inclusive, but contained by boundaries set by instructions of Abu-Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, Communal Responsibilities and The Potential to support students learning. The School’s admission policy is also aligned with the School’s stated mission.

Rudiments of Admission Policy

1- Application Receiving Clerk:

a. Data regarding number of available seats per classes is collected and maintained by the reception clerk.
b. Imparts the information regarding required documents, procedure of admission and fee schedule.
c. The clerk also provides required information and Admission Form to the parents.
d. Receives the completed applications for admission.
e. Completed forms forwards to Admission Committee.

2- Admission Committee:

Pakistani Islamic Private School, Al-Ain has constituted an Admission Committee for the supervision of Admission Policy of the School. The Admission Committee is comprising of senior members of teaching staff and performs the following functions:

a. Remains aware of rules implemented by ADEK.
b. Reviews the Admission Policy of the School and forwards recommendations to the Principal.
c. Checks the required documents and guides to parent regarding completion within time frame.
d. Prepares the placement test papers for the admissions.
e. Receives the completed applications and finalizes the dates for placement tests.
f. Takes the tests, completes the results of tests, make the merit list according to the availability of seats in different classes and complete the documents of the selected students accordingly.
g. Refers the completed cases to Principal for approval and after approval hand over to Admission & Registration Clerk.

3- Admission & Registration eSIS InCharge:

a. Admission & Registration incharge receives approved applications with complete documentation.
b. Uploads the required documents in the esis and finalize the admission.
c. Provides counseling service to the Admission Committee regarding rules & regulations.

Academic Calendar:

In accordance of accomplishment of Pakistani (Asian) Curriculum, the Academic Session starts in April of every year. Normally, the applications are accepted from the month of February. Class wise capacity for admission is prepared during the month of February.

Timing of offers and maintenance of waiting lists:

Applications submission process starts in the month of February of every year. The lists are prepared and the placement tests are conducted during the last days of the month of February. The lists of admitted students are displayed accordingly. The names of students, more than the class capacity and passed the placement tests are enlisted being in waiting list. The spaces being vacated by the leaving students are filled by the waiting list enlisted students accordingly.

Local Transfer:

The ADEK and ESIS teams notify the school about the specific timing for accepting local transfer applications. The relevant information regarding the duration is communicated to the parents. Following the established procedures, received applications are processed accordingly. Parents are required to transfer the necessary data and attachments as part of the application process. The complete applications are forwarded to the ADEK Zonal Office for approval and registration after the passing of the school entry test and seat availability on merit.

Abroad Transfer:

The Pakistani families are transferring from Pakistan throughout the year and applications for the admission are entertained and process starts after the formal approval from ADEK Zonal office. If the transfers are within the notified time, prior approval is not obligatory. (The complete applications are forwarded to the ADEK Zonal Office for approval and registration after the passing of the school entry test and seat availability on merit).

Admission Tests:

The placement tests are conducted for the formal admission. The main objective of the Admission Tests is to assess the ability of the students for further steps for the improvement of the student. The tests are taken accordingly;

K.G. Classes: Only age limit and required documents are considered.

Documents Required:

The applicant is responsible to provide the required documents. Failure will not be entertained and will lose his/her number in waiting list.

1. Photo copy of Birth Certificate, attested from Office of Foreign Affairs of United Arab Emirates:
2. Passport copy of student with valid visa;
3. Passport copies of parent with valid visa;
4. Passport size recent photographs (04);
5. School transfer certificate in case of transfer within the United Arab Emirates; (verified by ADEC in case of transfer from Abu-Dhabi or other cities of the United Arab Emirates);

6. School Leaving Certificate and result card in case of transferring from Pakistan (original document attested by:

a. District Education Officer;
b. Office of Foreign Affairs Pakistan;
c. Embassy of United Arab Emirates in Islamabad;
d. Embassy of Pakistan, Abu-Dhabi;
e. Office of Foreign Affairs, United Arab Emirates;

7. Result Card of previous class;
8. Character Certificate from previous school (only for Board Classes)
9. Migration Certificate from previous Board (only for Board Classes)
10. Result Sheet verified from concerned Board and attested/stamped by the previous school;
11. Verification letter for 9th/11th Board results in case of admission in 10th/12th classes;
12. U.A.E. Identity Card;
13. Vaccination Card;

Admission Criteria:

  • Sibling Applications: Siblings are given priority for entry into PIPS. Children with SEND who are siblings are given further priority for entry into PIPS School. All siblings must fulfil the School admissions criteria.
  • Emirati Applications: Emirati applications are given priority for entry into PIPS. All Emirati applicants must fulfil the school admissions criteria.
  • Admission to Students of determination: Refer to school/ADEK’s inclusion policy
